Understanding the Custody Evaluation Process
Working with AMS Mediation in Custody Evaluation matters involves three different phases and a number of different components in each phase. The phases include Investigation, a Written Report, and Testimony.
The investigation phase involves interviews with relevant parties, including the parents and children who are old enough and mature enough to provide pertinent information. We may also interview your children’s teachers, doctors, and personal references to gain the most accurate information. Once interviews are completed, we will provide a written report to the court at the request of either parent. If your divorce case goes to trial, we will provide testimony about the findings of our investigation.
